Effective April 28, 2025, American Express will discontinue its Auto Purchasing Program. This means that after this date, the program will no longer be available for card members. Any existing offers or price quotations obtained through the American Express Auto Purchasing Program will expire on their originally stated end dates.

For those who complete a vehicle purchase through the American Express Auto Purchasing Program and report it by June 19, 2025, TrueCar’s Buyer’s Bonus benefits will still be honored. To ensure you receive these benefits, purchases made via the program must be reported within 45 days of the purchase date, and no later than June 19, 2025. Please report your purchase by calling 1-877-924-2922.
This change primarily affects the American Express Car Leasing Program and purchasing services facilitated through TrueCar. While the direct auto purchasing program is ending, American Express cardholders should note that this discontinuation does not impact the general benefits of using your American Express card for vehicle-related expenses or other potential American Express car leasing program partnerships that may arise in the future.
