McLaren Health Care Oakland offers an exceptional Internal Medicine Residency program in affiliation with Michigan State University (MSU). Residents gain hands-on experience at Baybrooke Internal Medicine continuity clinic, functioning as junior partners and cultivating their own patient panels. This program emphasizes high-value, quality care, encompassing chronic disease management, preventative care, and acute outpatient condition treatment. Residents develop proficiency in ultrasound techniques using Butterfly IQ and perform procedures like joint injections/aspirations, cerumen removal, skin biopsies, and more.
The clinic, serving Pontiac and surrounding communities, provides a robust learning environment under the guidance of Clinic Director Dr. Robert Davis and part-time faculty member Dr. Lyndsi Davenport. Residents benefit from their extensive experience and expertise in various medical disciplines.
