Eligibility and Requirements for the Critical Care Internship
To be eligible for the CCRP, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): A BSN degree is required (waived for current TGH employees).
- Two-Year Contract Commitment: Participants must commit to a two-year employment contract with TGH upon completion of the program.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Prior critical care experience gained through mentorship, internships, or preceptorships.
- Experience as a Nurse Technician (NT), Patient Care Technician (PCT), or Paramedic in a critical care unit.
Participants are also required to complete the Essentials of Critical Care Orientation e-learning modules offered by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).

The CCRP operates on a 12-hour shift rotation (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), requiring availability for holidays, weekends, and severe weather events.
