Resolving the C006A issue typically involves reprogramming the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) module. This process requires the use of a battery charger to maintain a stable voltage between 13.2 and 13.5 volts, preventing interruptions during the reprogramming procedure. Using the wiTECH diagnostic application, technicians can access detailed instructions for flashing control modules by navigating to the “HELP” tab and selecting “HELP CONTENTS.” The wiTECH system will guide the user through the process, which includes selecting the latest available software for the ABS module.
Once the reprogramming is complete, any DTCs that may have set in other modules due to the process should be cleared.
