ACTEDS: Charting Your Career Path

A vital component of CP51 is the Army Civilian Training, Education, and Development System (ACTEDS) plan. This plan, specific to CP51, will offer detailed Occupational Series Career Maps. These maps will outline clear career progression pathways, outlining training and developmental opportunities aligned with specific career goals.

The ACTEDS plan, along with the career maps, is expected to be accessible via Army Career Tracker by September 2012. This platform will enable employees to engage in constructive career planning discussions with supervisors, paving the way for professional growth and achievement.

Staying Informed about CP51 and ACTEDS

To keep employees informed, CP51 is developing a robust communication strategy. This includes newsletters, emails, and a dedicated CP51 website. Until these resources are fully launched, the Civilian Workforce Transformation (CWT) website (www.cwt.army.mil) serves as a valuable source of information. Direct inquiries can be sent to [email protected].

Leveraging the Enterprise Talent Management Program (ETMP)

In addition to CP51 and ACTEDS, the Enterprise Talent Management Program (ETMP) offers further leadership development opportunities. Formerly known as the IMCOM G9 Leader Development Assignment Program (LDAP), the ETMP now falls under the Installation Management Command (IMCOM).

This program aims to cultivate leaders with diverse competencies and experiences for leadership roles within IMCOM. Both appropriated and non-appropriated fund employees at various levels within IMCOM can participate. Detailed information on vacancies, application procedures, and eligibility criteria is available on the IMCOM Talent Management Center (TMC) AKO portal: https://www.us.army.mil/suite/page/663500.

CP51 and its associated ACTEDS plan provide crucial resources for career advancement within the Army civilian workforce. By leveraging these programs and staying informed, employees can effectively plan their career progression and achieve their professional goals. The ETMP offers additional avenues for leadership development, further enhancing opportunities for career growth within the Army.
