Your initial rotation in this dynamic program will be as a Buyer within our Procurement Team. In this crucial role, you will be at the forefront of fostering supplier collaboration, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure Volvo Cars meets its stringent cost, quality, and environmental targets. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the transformation of the supply chain at Volvo Car USA LLC, all within a diverse and fast-paced team environment.
The Volvo Cars Global Graduate Program is structured as a transformative two-year journey, designed to allow you to explore your capabilities and passions across various departments within Volvo Cars. You will begin your journey in the department you were initially recruited into, providing immediate immersion into your core area. Beyond Procurement, the business track opens doors to diverse opportunities within our Manufacturing & Supply Chain business unit. These rotations may include roles in departments focused on Logistics, Quality, and Supplier Relations, offering a comprehensive understanding of the automotive business ecosystem.
Year 1: Foundations and Exploration
- August 2025: Global Graduate Program Kick-off. Begin your journey with an immersive introduction to Volvo Cars and your fellow global graduates.
- Module Week 1: Global Introduction & Business Understanding. Gain a holistic understanding of Volvo Cars’ global operations, business strategy, and company culture.
- Rotation in your home department. Deep dive into your primary role and contribute to ongoing projects within your initial team.
- Module Week 2: Product Development & Production. Explore the fascinating world of automotive product development and the intricacies of production processes at Volvo Cars.
- Rotation in a new department. Broaden your skillset and gain diverse perspectives by experiencing a different area of the business.
- Module Week 3: Commercial Module. Develop your commercial acumen and understand the market dynamics that drive Volvo Cars’ success.
- Graduate group project. Collaborate with your fellow graduates on a challenging project, applying your collective knowledge and skills to solve real-world business problems.
Year 2: Deepening Expertise and Global Perspective
- 2-3 Rotations in new departments, with potential for international experience. Further expand your expertise through varied rotations, with exciting opportunities to gain international exposure within Volvo Cars’ global network.
- Final Graduation project. Apply your accumulated knowledge and skills to a significant project, showcasing your capabilities and contributing to Volvo Cars’ strategic objectives.
- Module Week 4: Leadership Foundations & Final week. Develop essential leadership skills and reflect on your graduate program journey as you prepare for your permanent role.
- July 8, 2027 – Graduation. Celebrate your achievements and the successful completion of the Volvo Cars Global Graduate Program.
